Lol yeah. I think you've gotta find people that think its a good idea before you hold it. I'll be mad if they get more players than our FTB3 division has before we do.

i can really only think of maybe 4 people who would ever join, and they would only join if i kept harassing them about it.

In all seriousness though, a 2V2 Reach tourney would be fuckawesome. We should try and round some people up, maybe look at possible prizes, etc.

im sure we can find some people before reach comes out, what kinda prizes would there be? like noble six helmet codes?

I was thinking something like a 1600 MS points card for first, a Halo: Reach Noble Six figure for second, and 1 Month LIVE card for third.

i dont have any of those, by 1600 i assume u mean 1400, they only sell them here in 1400 and 2800 idk about USA tho. If we can get enough people where getting in the top 3 is something special then sure.

I guess it's because of the differences in our dollar then? Here 1600 is 20 bucks. You can get them in 400, 800, 1600, and 2400.

And yeah, you have a point about there not being enough people. How about just prizes for the top 2 teams then? Course we don't have to do prizes, but I bet it would help attract people.

Off the top of my head I can think of you, me, Miva, Yowza, Hotlead, USAAF, Fynesse, Time Bandit, Kelvin, and Killfreak. And we could also advertise on the B.Net forums, HBO, NeoGaf, etc. If we can get some takers, membership on this site could also increase by about 20-30 people, even if only a few remain active.

Sounds good man. But what do you think is worth more to people? LIVE time, or MS points? I mean people who pay yearly probably don't care about 3 more months of LIVE, it would just be a buffer if they couldn't pay at one point. But some people would see it as an opportunity to save some money and buy a 15 dollar arcade game with it. So it kind of evens out. :/

Whatever you choose, just remember that the card doesn't matter, only the code on the back. All you'd have to do is email the winner the code on the back of the Live card or MS card or whatever.

No need for shipping, no need for an address to ship it too.

Your idea sounds good. Id advise waiting until you get 20 teams or such. That's 40 people and at that point, it's big enough where it won't matter if/when you've gotta forfeit/lose teams. Remember, with the FTB3 10 team 2v2 tourney, 1 team dropped out and consequentially, 2 teams got free passes to further rounds. Then 2 teams never showed up and 2 MORE teams got a free win.

Luckily, it's a double elimination tournament so it didn't hurt the tourney TOO bad.

Just saying, things WILL go wrong so be prepared for them.

Also I have plenty of experience with card codes, as Major Nougat can attest. You should ask him about those Noble Six helmet codes sometime. =P
